chatUKbot (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform based in Milan, Italy. We provide a unified control panel that allows our customers to manage their social media accounts and Messenger conversations in one place.

2. What data we access

When you authorise chatUKbot to connect to your social media or Messenger account (for example, a Facebook Page), we access only the information necessary to provide our services via the official platform APIs. This may include:

  • Page or account information (e.g. name, ID, profile picture).
  • Post content you create or manage through our platform.
  • Comments and replies associated with your posts.
  • Private messages (such as Messenger conversations) between your page and your users.
  • Basic performance metrics (e.g. message volume, response time, reach, engagement).

We display this data inside your chatUKbot dashboard so you and your team can read, respond, and analyse your communications.

3. How we use your data

We use the data described above solely for the following purposes:

  • To display your conversations, comments, and posts in a single, centralised interface.
  • To allow you to reply to messages and comments from within our platform.
  • To let you create, schedule, and publish posts.
  • To generate basic operational and performance reports for your accounts.
  • To maintain and improve the stability, performance, and security of our services.
We do not use your data for advertising, user profiling, or resale.
We never sell your data, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. What we never do with your data

Specifically, we commit to the following:

  • We do not use your data to build advertising audiences or run ads.
  • We do not create user profiles for commercial exploitation.
  • We do not sell or trade your data to any third party.
  • We do not share your data with third parties except when strictly necessary to provide the service (e.g. hosting providers under contract).

5. Data storage and retention

We store only the data that is required to operate chatUKbot and to offer you a reliable service. We retain this data for as long as:

  • your account is active; or
  • we are required to do so by applicable law, regulation, or legitimate business needs (such as security and fraud prevention).

If you decide to stop using chatUKbot, you may request deletion of your account and associated data, as described in Section 9.

6. Data access and authorisation

You connect your social accounts to chatUKbot by granting authorisation through the official platform interface (for example, Facebook’s login and permissions screen). You can view and manage these authorisations directly within the respective platform at any time.

7. Revoking authorisation

If you revoke our access to your social accounts (for example, by removing chatUKbot from your Facebook Page settings or within our app), we will:

  • Immediately stop requesting or receiving any new data from that account.
  • Restrict our systems from further access to the revoked account.

Upon your explicit request, we will also delete related data we hold about that account, except where we are legally required or permitted to retain certain records (for example, for security or accounting purposes).

8. Service providers and data location

To operate chatUKbot, we may use trusted third-party service providers (such as hosting, cloud infrastructure, logging, and security tools). These providers process data strictly on our behalf and only according to our documented instructions.

Where data is transferred across borders, we take appropriate measures to protect it in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal obligations.
  • Object to certain types of processing or request restrictions.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format, where technically feasible.

We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Help us understand basic usage patterns (for example, which pages are visited most often).
